Hi! I’m Gaelene Alexander, the heart and passion behind Ruby and Lace Photography.

My journey into photography began with a simple desire to preserve the fleeting moments of my own family’s life, and that passion has blossomed into a love for capturing the stories of others here on the Sunshine Coast.

There’s something magical about freezing a moment in time – the tiny fingers of a newborn, the mischievous grin of a child, the loving embrace of a family, or the tender glance between couples.

I believe in creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, allowing your genuine personalities to shine through. My goal is to deliver beautiful, heartfelt images that will become treasured heirlooms for generations.

My daughter Alice and I got to spend a lovely afternoon with Gaelene from Ruby and Lace Photography on Sunday.
It was very special helping her vision come to life and also to have a beautiful photo together with Alice which we have very few of together as I’ve always felt awkward getting my pic taken ( and not a fan of selfies). Gaelene’s always told me how important it is to take photos with loved ones. So I’m going to have this framed and put it on the wall for everyone in my house to see.
